When you ask for my free guide or sign up for my emails
You give me your email address. I use it to email you Therapies for TBI. That email goes out through the service that sends this site’s mail, which keeps only a scrambled (hashed) copy of your address to stop abuse, not the address itself. Your address also goes to Kit, the service I use to send my emails (Kit’s privacy policy: kit.com/privacy). I use it only to send you news about After the Fall and my writing, about once a month. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me to delete your details at any time.
Your browser also remembers whether you closed or filled in the signup box, so it doesn’t keep asking. That stays on your device.
When you use the contact form
Your name, email address, and message are emailed to me so I can reply. To keep out spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you’re a person (Cloudflare’s privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).
Analytics
I use Google Analytics to see which pages people read and how they find the site: pages visited, the site you came from, your approximate location, and your device and browser. It sets cookies to do this. I see totals, not who you are. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can block Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on or your browser’s privacy settings.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Liquid Web and protected by Cloudflare. Like every website, their servers see your IP address and keep standard logs to keep the site running and secure.
What I don’t do
I don’t sell or share your information, and there are no ads on this site.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from my emails at any time, and you can email [email protected] to see, correct, or delete what I have about you.
